Double-Hand Poker Game Rules

[ English ]

Let’s learn a distinct type of poker other than Texas hold’em, seven card stud, five card draw and Omaha. Yes, pai-gow poker. Now you should be wondering that pai gow sounds a little Chinese; yes you are correct this game is a mixture of the Chinese game double-hand and our very own US poker. Surely this isn’t 1 of the most well-known types of poker but still it is widely played. It is usually wagered by up to seven gamblers.

It’s played with one deck of fifty two cards, plus a joker. Oddly enough, the joker may be utilized only as an ace, to complete a straight, a flush, a straight flush, or a royal flush. The significant element here to bear in mind is apart from the normal rating of hands we have one more succeeding hand that is "5 Aces" (5 aces such as the joker). Amazingly, five aces defeat all other hands including royal flush.

Each gambler is dealt seven cards. The cards are organized to form 2 hands; a 2 card hand and a 5 card hand. The five card hand has to rank greater or be equal to the two card hand. Lastly both of your hands have to rank greater than each of your opponents hands (both five and two card hands). Further the two card hand can merely have 2 combinations; one pair and high card.

Immediately after the cards are set up in to two hands, they are placed on the table face down. Once you place them down, you may no longer handle them. The croupier will turn over their cards and make his hands. Each gamblers hand is compared to the dealer’s hands. If the player is victorious on one hand and loses the other, this is known as "push" and no money is exchanged. If croupier wins equally hands then he/she wins the players wager and the other way round. Now what if there’s a tie, the only edge with the dealer here is he/she is victorious on all ties.

Immediately after the hand is played, the next individual clock-wise becomes the dealer and the following hand is wagered. The big disadvantage to this casino game is that there’s no skill required and you depend too much on fortune. Also the odds are terrible compared to wagering with a pot.
