Have you seen the new PokerPro texas hold’em poker tables? The first time I saw the PokerPro tables was about a couple of weeks back when I took a short vacation with my wife to the WinStar Betting house in Oklahoma.

As I waited for my turn to be summoned at the live tables, I noticed how the other individuals around the PokerPro tables relate with each other. It was quite interesting to say the least. Since the poker table was computer driven, there were no poker chips to do any chip tricks, no cards to shuffle and the actual live experience was stale. Maybe I was the only one that discovered this, but I did observe the gamblers in the table had a lifeless high quality to them. The reason for this might be because there was no human interaction with the dealer, the ambiance was relatively dull and the gamblers looked weary. It was almost as if I was viewing a live variation of an internet holdem poker room rather than sitting with warm blooded humans. It was a little creepy and I continued to have flash backs to a show of Star trek and the holodeck broke down.

Since the waiting time for the reside tables was over an hour, I made a decision to see how the casino game play was and to encounter this new hold’em poker gaming technology. Following playing a couple of hands, I actually felt like I was betting at house. The lack of activity at the table was the main reason. I like to shuffle my chips, stack my chips, and mix my cards about. None of those things are possible at these digital tables.

Another thing I discovered was how the computer dealt the flop, turn and river cards. I bet a whole lot of hands in the PokerPro table and noticed that the play was a great deal like an internet based holdem poker website. That might have been just a coincidence, except I discovered it to be extremely odd.

After betting a few rounds with this "unique holdem poker technology", I decided that the PokerPro tables were not for me. I’m far better off betting texas holdem poker online at residence and not travel the distance. If WinStar Gambling den have been to get rid of the stay poker tables, I think they would loose a good deal of players.
