Concentrate on Annie Duke

Annie Duke might not have won her 1st World Series of Poker Bracelet until two thousand and four but she remains one of the most feared poker players around the ring matches at The Bellagio in vegas. Annie’s longawaited World Series of Poker bracelet came with success at the "forgotten game" of Omaha hi lo.

While competitors from the "younger crowd" of poker go crazy after a huge win at the tournament, Annie goes back home and becomes "mom" to her 4 kids. She was born in New Hampshire into a family of card competitors. If you do not accept that, check out her brother, Howard Lederer, in action who coached her how to play the game.

However, Annie Duke is no small-potatoes girl and has captured her cut of difficult tables, including knocking out Howard a few times along the way. They are both players that have the capability to win the large cash and do it with a grin.

Annie is a tough competitor at any table considering that she is a true poker player, but it is a bit more than just being good at the game. Mrs. Duke is very smart and graduated from Columbia University where she took a double major in English and Psychology.

When you take a seat across from Annie at the poker table you will see Annie Duke is there to play the game and she begins "sizing" you up as soon as you approach the poker table. If you can’t wager like a winner, then do not bother.

Acquiring over $3 million in tournament play, Mrs. Duke became a consultant to both the UltimateBet poker room and actor Ben Affleck, who was looking to enhance his abilities and develop into a power at the tables.

You may see her at the Bellagio, you’ll definitely observe her on TV and you may even play against her in an online poker game, but don’t count on a simple win. Except of course you’re a camp-in-the-making, you will not beat her. However, it would be exciting to say you sat at the same table as "The Duke".
